J.T. Magen builds the award-winning adidas New York flagship

The Fifth Avenue flagship is the footwear brand’s largest in the world and echoes a high school stadium.

It’s our No. 1 global flagship; it’s the best articulation of our brand. In terms of size and scale, it’s the biggest global store that we’ve ever had. I’m excited about the philosophy of stadium – the rawness, the concrete, the tunnel entrance, the stands facing outwards... It’s a real articulation of sport, and that to me is the true reflection of the identity of adidas.

— Simon Atkins, brand director, adidas America, in Footwear News

Helping athletes is why we exist. adidas NYC is created with the athlete first, as a consumer-powered brand experience at the heart of Fifth Avenue. Everything is tailored for athletes’ needs and desires to help them make a difference in their game, in their life and in their world.

— Kasper Rorsted, CEO, adidas Group, in an adidas press release
