Founder and CEO

Maurice Regan started J.T. Magen in 1992 because he wanted to get away from the brokerage model of construction that primarily manages subcontractors. Instead, he intended to understand the clients’ needs and requirements, provide real services with on-staff expertise, and deliver both quality and value.

His business objectives were met and exceeded with this honest, hard-working approach. The company diversified into a host of project types and industries, and opened additional offices in Chicago and Los Angeles, as well as handling North American roll-outs for some of the most successful brands in the world.

As a result, Maurice Regan is both visionary and industry leader, and his company’s clients return with new projects again and again.

Building an award-winning team

At J.T. Magen, Maurice Regan is focused on the company’s strategic growth, financial strength, staff oversight and client/industry partner relations. He has overseen hundreds of large-scale and iconic construction projects across Manhattan and the Tri-State area over more than 35 years in the industry.

His numbers acumen and expertise managing complex, time-sensitive projects, as well as leading and inspiring a top team, have been critical to the company’s steady success. In the process, he built a solid reputation for the company and won numerous industry awards, including New York Contractor of the Year.

Maurice Regan earned his professional credentials in Quantity Surveying in Ireland through a rigorous seven-year program with professional qualifying exams. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the pre-eminent representative body for Chartered Quantity Surveyors worldwide.
